MAINTENANCE

A regular cycle of cleaning should be established based on visual inspection and experience, and once it is established, it should be carefully maintained. Frequent cleanings will insure:

1. Continuing, efficient filtration performance as a result of maximum electrostatic effect.
2. Continued handling of rated system capacity as a result of less resistance.
3. Most economical system operation as a result of lowest power consumption.
4. Lowest long-term maintenance costs as a result of easily-cleaned filters.

If a pressure manometer is used at the filter bank, the filters should be cleaned when the initial resistance has DOUBLED.
